We have begun developing a cloud service aimed at streamlining the complex order management process in the construction industry. In this field, where various stakeholders such as craftsmen, contractors, manufacturers, trading companies, and logistics providers are involved, there are frequent issues like miscommunication and work delays. Our new service seeks to address these challenges and improve productivity across the entire industry.

Challenges in Construction Order Management:

• Order methods vary by person, using Line, phone, or fax, with no standard process.
• Errors in material part numbers or quantities often result in inaccurate information.
• Craftsmen are often uncertain if the contractor has correctly placed the order with the manufacturer.
• Mistakes in part numbers frequently occur because the necessary information is not readily available when ordering.
• Incorrect part numbers can cause work to halt on-site.
• There is often a time lag between ordering and the manufacturer receiving the request, leading to project delays.
• Missing required details on orders frequently result in follow-up calls from manufacturers.
• Orders to logistics providers are sometimes overlooked, causing delivery cancellations.
• Changes to delivery schedules require additional communication with manufacturers and logistics providers, adding extra work.
• It takes a long time to search through order histories, leading to inefficiencies.
• Discrepancies between the quoted prices at the time of order and the manufacturer’s invoice can cause disputes.
• Arranging delivery truck schedules via fax or phone is time-consuming for both parties.
• When ordering materials from multiple manufacturers for the same site, separate order forms must be created for each.
• Each contractor uses a different format for order forms, complicating the manufacturers' order processing.

To solve these issues, we have partnered with construction companies and manufacturers to develop a specialized cloud service for the industry. This service will be available to all participants involved in the order management process, aiming to standardize and optimize operations.

We plan to launch the beta version in August 2023. We look forward to providing a user-friendly service that will enhance productivity for everyone involved.
